FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Q: does handpoke tattoo hurt more than machine tattooing?
A: handpoke tattooing hurts differently than machine tattooing. not necessarily more or less. as with all tattooing the inherent sensation depends on a number of factors- namely the location of the tattoo on the body, duration of each sitting, and your unique relationship to pain, etc.
Q: does a handpoke tattoo take a lot longer to complete than a machine tattoo?
A: its difficult to say: my method of handpoke tattooing employs different techniques than that of a machine and i don't attempt to duplicate what a machine can do. for the type of tattoos i do, i move along quickly. if a person is wanting a tattoo that resembles something that a machine would be best for, then, yes, handpoke will be slower.
Q: what kind of tool do you use to tattoo?
A: just like a machine tattoo artist, i use tattoo needles soldered onto a needle bar, minus the machine. each 'tool' is single-use, disposable, sanitary, and comfortable for me to work with.
Q: what are your rates?
A: my rates are $150 for the first hour, and $90 each hour after- cash only please. that rate applies to each session. i ask for a $150 deposit for all drawings. the deposit will be applied to your last session and/or in the event you don't show up for your appointment without giving me a 48-hour prior cancellation.
